Rodenstock riding high for British Heart Foundation
Rodenstock UK staff who took part in this year’s London to Brighton Bike Ride have raised more than £600 for the British Heart Foundation.
The five riders set off from the capital for the grueling 54 mile bike ride through Surrey and Sussex down to Brighton seafront, on June 17.
The team joined the tens of thousands of cyclists raising money for the British Heart Foundation and completed the journey in about seven hours. Rodenstock supplied them with sunglasses and cycling jerseys for the challenge.
Rodenstock competitor Gavin Brimmer said: “It was hard work especially in the midday sun but we all made it across the finish line, despite the killer hill near the end. We’re still receiving donations for the worthy cause and already planning our next adventure.”
The British Heart Foundation’s mission is to play a leading role in the fight against disease of the heart and circulation, so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death.
